This set of three popular houseplants includes Beaucarnea, also known as the Elephant's Foot, due to the shape of its trunk. In English, it's also called Ponytail because of its crown-like shape. Originally from Mexico, this plant thrives there, rain or shine, on rock faces and mountains. Like cacti and succulents, it stores water, with its trunk acting as a water reservoir. The Croton (also called the Wonder Bush) is native to Southeast Asia and is a popular houseplant in Europe due to its vibrant, colorful leaves. Codiaeum 'Petra' is undemanding and therefore an easy-care companion. The brighter the location, the more vibrant the colors of its leaves become, ranging from yellow and green to red and even purple. The Alocasia, botanically known as the Arrowhead Plant, translates roughly as "the tree that grows to the sky." Originally from Southeast Asia, it arrived in Europe in the 1950s and has since become a popular houseplant. Direct sunlight should be avoided. However, the location should be as bright as possible.
